Epidemiology

Varies globally. Often age and lifestyle dependent.

Etiology & Risk Factors

  • Heavy tobacco smoking.

Clinical Symptoms

  • Ischemic pain in digits at rest
  • ulcerations
  • gangrene of fingers/toes.

Diagnosis

  • Clinical
  • Angiography (corkscrew collaterals).

Management

  • Strict smoking cessation.

Complications

  • Autoamputation of digits.
