Etiology & Risk Factors

  • Trauma, rupture of middle meningeal artery.

Clinical Symptoms

  • Lucid interval followed by rapid neurologic decline and coma.

Diagnosis

  • CT Head (Lens-shaped biconvex hyperdensity not crossing sutures).

Management

  • Emergent craniotomy/evacuation.

Complications

  • Uncal herniation
  • death.
