  • Trauma, dry air, hypertension, coagulopathy.

Clinical Symptoms

  • Bleeding from the nasal cavity (usually anterior from Kiesselbach's plexus).

Diagnosis

  • Clinical visualization.

Management

  • Direct pressure
  • oxymetazoline
  • cautery (silver nitrate)
  • nasal packing.

Complications

  • Severe blood loss (rarely).
