Etiology & Risk Factors

  • S. aureus, S. pyogenes.

Clinical Symptoms

  • Honey-colored crusted lesions
  • usually on the face/perioral area.

Diagnosis

  • Clinical.

Management

  • Topical Mupirocin
  • Oral Cephalexin (if widespread).

Complications

  • Post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis (if Strep).
