Dosing & Administration
Adult Dose
Pulseless VT/VF: 300 mg IV push. A-Fib loading: 150 mg IV over 10 min. PO maintenance: 100-400 mg daily.
Pediatric Dose
Pulseless VT/VF: 5 mg/kg IV.
Renal Adjustment
No adjustment necessary.
Hepatic Adjustment
Use caution; hepatically metabolized.
Safety & Special Populations
Pregnancy Category
D - Can cause neonatal goiter/hypothyroidism.
Lactation Safety
Contraindicated (contains iodine, long half-life).

- Cardiogenic shock
- 2nd/3rd degree AV block
- Iodine hypersensitivity
