Dosing & Administration
Adult Dose
1 tablet (200/300 mg) PO daily.
Pediatric Dose
Weight-based specific dosing.
Renal Adjustment
CrCl 30-49: 1 tablet every 48 hours. CrCl < 30: Do not use.
Hepatic Adjustment
No adjustment necessary.

Not recommended (to prevent HIV transmission, though drugs themselves may be safe).
Contraindications & Adverse Effects
Contraindications
- Concurrent use of other Tenofovir products
- CrCl < 30 (for PrEP)
Common Adverse Effects
- Renal toxicity (Fanconi syndrome)
- Decreased bone mineral density
- Lactic acidosis
