Dosing & Administration
Adult Dose
500-1000 mg IV every 8 hours. 2g every 8h for meningitis.
Pediatric Dose
20-40 mg/kg IV every 8 hours.
Renal Adjustment
CrCl < 50: Requires dose reduction and frequency extension.
Hepatic Adjustment
No adjustment necessary.

- Anaphylaxis to beta-lactams

- Seizures (lower risk than Imipenem)
