Dosing & Administration

Adult Dose

IV Protocol: 150 mg/kg over 1 hr, then 50 mg/kg over 4 hrs, then 100 mg/kg over 16 hrs.

Pediatric Dose

Same as adult (volume adjusted).

Renal Adjustment

No adjustment necessary.

Hepatic Adjustment

No adjustment necessary.

  • Hypersensitivity

Common Adverse Effects

  • Anaphylactoid reaction (flushing, rash - often rate related)
  • Nausea/Vomiting (PO route)
