Clinical Significance
Standard screening test for HIV. Detects both the p24 viral antigen (early infection) and HIV antibodies (later infection). Reactive results require confirmatory differentiation testing.

- Acute HIV Infection (p24 Antigen positive)
- Chronic HIV Infection (Antibody positive)
- Rare false positive (Autoimmune, Pregnancy)
